Valencia Basket visit the Unicaja's court in a direct duel in the fight to be in Copa del Rey

Valencia Basket returns to compete in the Endesa League 17 days after its triumph against Monbús Obradoiro after the postponement of its last two games due to the positives of its rivals to visit the Unicaja’s court (Sunday 9, 12:30 p.m., Martín Carpena, Movistar Deportes) in a round 17 game very important for the aspirations of the two teams to be in the Copa del Rey in Granada but that does not definitively close the first leg, which will be pending a visit to the Lenovo Tenerife’s court and host CB Gran Canaria.

 

Joan Peñarroya's men will try to maintain their positive dynamics on this court (they have won in eight of their last thirteen visits) in a game between two teams that this season have obtained favorable results when they have left their rivals below 80 points.

 

Víctor Claver (injured in the left foot) and Neno Dimitrijevic (positive for COVID-19) still sidelined although the taronja squad recovers the participation of point guard Martin Hermannsson, who was absent on Thursday's return to competition against Frutti Extra Bursaspor.

 

The taronja team comes to this meeting in sixth position with a balance of 8-6 and a basket-average of +47, so a victory at Martín Carpena would not ensure the ticket for the Copa del Rey but it would be a very significant step forward.
